Gorakshep (5,164 m / 16,942 ft) is a well-known village on the Everest trail and the final stop before reaching Everest Base Camp. Despite its small size—with only five lodges that are almost always full—Gorakshep offers a unique atmosphere with Sherpa hospitality, horses, and yaks along the trail.
